“Hamburg Marathon” was created on April 26, 2026, the day of the 40th Hamburg Marathon.
This work is a freely available photo of the start taken from the internet, which has been altered so that “Hamburgers” (and cheeseburgers) take the place of the runners (the “Hamburger” Marathon). Unlike conventional practice, there is no sponsor advertising in the work.

The work is part of the short series “Dutch Works 26” (DW26), which was created in the context of the “Dutch Papers 26,” Artdigazine No. 2.
