“Tradechno – Sir Taki” came about on a whim, without any particular reason or forethought. Sir Taki is a (fictional) DJ who transforms and spins folk music—in this piece, the Greek sirtaki. Once the idea popped into my head, finding a sirtaki-techno version in my music collection was no big deal, and the subject was set.
