Anagrammatic Licence
»Review«
“Anagrammatic Licence” is the result of an AI experiment. The AI was tasked with composing two meaningful texts (200 words each) that contain exactly the same letters—no more, no less. It was bound to fail at this, because to create such a “perfect” anagram, it would have to think both forward and backward, unfold the story while simultaneously checking each letter against a running tally—in other words, this is a combinatorial, not a linguistic, problem that is structurally unsolvable for a model that generates sequentially. The visual component of the work was created in parts by a generative AI based on the two stories provided and subsequently merged together.
