I’m arslohgo

and operator of artdig.lohgo.net, where “artdig” stands for “artes digitales” (digital art). I grew up in Niederschelden (now part of Siegen) and currently live in Bochum. You could call me a hobby artist who’s enjoying the freedom that comes with life after career and everything that entails. These days, however, I see myself as a serious artist working in the field of contemporary digital arts.

I value the people I meet, the places I visit, my creative moments, the spontaneity of each creation as well as the deliberation that goes into its execution, and above all, that indispensable coffee.

I appreciate the unvarnished reality of everyday life, the fleeting beauty of in-between moments, and I do my best to capture each image with this awareness. I’m fascinated by the inseparability of language and image, their mutual dependence, and I want to express this—though not exclusively—in my work.

Everything I see is language. And everything I speak is pictures. This is what art means to me.

All that is new is derived from the familiar, and can therefore be only partially new.

Pure white or black is found in nature only unfiltered sunlight or in the interior of a black hole.

Destructuring the structured will finally result in another but different kind of structure.
