Dune Evening Sky

Sunset over the dunes in a surprisingly orange-colored hue, with an interested guest along for the ride: a crane fly. The gnat (as it is called in entomology) was actually sitting at the window of my vacation home before it was mounted in the picture.

The photograph is of the sky over Callantsoog, North Holland, and the work is therefore part of the ‘Playing around with Callantsoog skies’ series. The SKY series explores the theme of “SKY” on three levels: visual, written, and sound.
