MCE Day & Night Metamorph

This variation of “MCE Day & Night” leads to a transformation of Escher’s “Day And Night.” The surroundings remain the same, but the formation of the birds is mirrored once again and the animals themselves have undergone a metamorphosis—a fantasy game. The geese have become hybrids, creatures that are a mixture of geese and bats, and the only naturally white (Honduran) dwarf bat in the picture is surprised.
