The Microcosm has changed

After returning from a short trip to the Netherlands, a hospital stay out of nowhere for a kidney obstruction — then the diagnosis: ‘advanced-stage cancer (incurable).’ And all at once, life takes a turn that you always know, realistically, has to be reckoned with, yet that always seems so far removed from yourself.

Things and perspectives, my sense of time and of the world, will appear in a different light — and will find an echo in my work.

How far the therapy — or therapies — will shape the substance and the timeline of the artdig worX project, there’s no way to foresee. Nor will it be something I can hold off.
